Centre’s approval of Semicon 2.0, NIPU-2026 and MPMS to accelerate industrial, agricultural growth in Chhattisgarh: Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai hails PM Shri Narendra Modi, Union Cabinet for landmark decisions on manufacturing and fertiliser reforms

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed the Union Cabinet’s approval of Semicon 2.0, the National Investment Policy for Urea -2026 (NIPU-2026) and the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Promotion Scheme (MPMS) under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, describing them as landmark decisions that will strengthen the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
Shri Sai said the three initiatives would boost India’s industrial capacity, agricultural security and electronics manufacturing while advancing self-reliance, innovation and high-end manufacturing. He extended gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Union Cabinet for the decisions.
He said the Rs 1.27 lakh crore Semicon 2.0 programme would help build a world-class semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem, strengthening India’s position in global supply chains. He added that Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy, improved infrastructure, investment-friendly environment and skill development initiatives would attract high-tech industries, creating fresh investment and employment opportunities in the state.
The Chief Minister said NIPU-2026 would strengthen fertiliser availability, ensure timely supply of urea to farmers and benefit lakhs of farmers in Chhattisgarh, while reinforcing agricultural productivity. He said the Centre and the state government are working in coordination to promote farmers’ prosperity and agricultural self-reliance.
Shri Sai said the Rs 62,500 crore MPMS would position India as a global hub for electronics manufacturing and exports by promoting Indian brands, research and development, innovation and domestic manufacturing. He added that Chhattisgarh is creating a conducive ecosystem for investment in electronics, IT and emerging technologies, generating new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.
He said such forward-looking decisions under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi would accelerate the vision of both Viksit Bharat and Viksit Chhattisgarh, driven by innovation, investment, technological self-reliance, modern manufacturing and agricultural empowerment.
