Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that good governance, development and public welfare are the defining features of the state government. He stated that the government’s objective is not merely to launch schemes but to ensure that their benefits reach the last person in society.
The Chief Minister was addressing a district-level Samadhan Camp organised at Hemunagar under the Sushasan Tihar campaign on June 4. On the occasion, he dedicated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth more than Rs. 134 crore, released the 28th instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and made several important announcements in the interest of the public.
Chief Minister Shri Sai distributed motorised tricycles to 80 Specially-abled persons during the programme. The beneficiaries expressed happiness upon receiving the mobility aids. He said that the government’s welfare policies are aimed not only at assisting but also at ensuring self-reliance and a life of dignity. He also symbolically handed over house keys to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a 200-bed multipurpose old-age home building to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 22.65 crore under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of South Eastern Coalfields Limited. The facility will provide modern services including naturopathy, yoga, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and comprehensive rehabilitation for senior citizens. He said that elderly citizens are invaluable assets to society and that the government remains committed to ensuring their dignity, care and well-being.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also laid the foundation stone for a 500-seat educational, training and multipurpose rehabilitation centre for Specially-abled persons, to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 18.76 crore.
The centre will provide education, skill development, physiotherapy, speech therapy, auditory training and rehabilitation services under one roof. He said the facility would help Specially-abled persons become self-reliant and improve their opportunities for employment and self-employment.
The Chief Minister inaugurated a state-of-the-art CT scan machine installed at the District Hospital at a cost of approximately Rs. 4.50 crore.
He said the facility would enable the diagnosis of serious and complex illnesses at the local level, ensuring faster, better and more accessible healthcare services for patients.
In his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that Sushasan Tihar is more than a campaign; it is a platform that strengthens trust between the government and the people.
He noted that welfare schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are reaching eligible beneficiaries effectively and contributing to social and economic empowerment.
The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and with the courage of the security forces and the support of the people of Bastar, significant progress is being made in the fight against Naxalism. He added that roads, electricity, education, healthcare and drinking water facilities are expanding rapidly across Bastar, and the government remains committed to building a developed Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that consumers are receiving relief through the Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana. He further noted that more than 400 government services have been made available online through the e-District platform.
To ensure the timely resolution of public grievances, he announced that the Chief Minister Helpline service will be launched soon.
Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Tokhan Sahu stated that Sushasan Tihar is the result of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s visionary leadership. He stated that every effort made for public welfare and grievance resolution is a strong example of good governance.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts related to the expansion of Bilaspur Airport, railway infrastructure development and strengthening of the Arpa Project.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that Sushasan Tihar is a living example of the government’s accountability towards citizens. He noted that the large turnout at Samadhan Camps reflects the public’s trust in the government and congratulated residents on receiving development projects worth over Rs 134 crore.
Key Announcements by the Chief Minister
Responding to a request from Beltara MLA Shri Sushant Shukla, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai announced that Beltara College will be renamed after the late Sakharam Suryavanshi.
He also announced the construction of five Mangal Bhavans within the municipal area of the Beltara Assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is implementing a special development plan for the comprehensive growth of Bilaspur and that all essential development works for the district will be completed on priority.
