NTPC Korba taking strong strides for women empowerment: Retail Associate Training program inaugurated
India’s largest integrated power company, NTPC Limited has been undertaking various activities for social causes under its Corporate Social Responsibility.
In this direction, NTPC’s Korba unit recently inaugurated Retail Associate Training, making continuous efforts towards women empowerment.
With a view to make women self-reliant, employment opportunities will also be provided through this training program.
NTPC Korba, in partnership with Ambhuja Foundation, will provide training to 25 women. Women from nearby villages will participate in this program which will last for three months. Assured placement will be given to minimum 70 percent participants in the training program which is certified by the National Skill Development Center.
The training program will focus on topics such as personality development, billing module, marketing, store management and inventory management.
NTPC Limited, continuously working towards the progress of the nation, is achieving new heights every day. Along with power generation, NTPC is making efforts in the interest of the country through its social concerns. Following the principle of ‘People Before PLF’, NTPC is giving pace to the country’s development journey.
In this regard, the Project Head congratulated all the participants and said that “For NTPC, livelihood development is one of the main pillars of the work done for community development. With the right skills, women can play a vital role in shaping the future of the country. Our aim is to promote skill development of women”.
