NTPC Korba on a mission to empower the youth through skill development
Korba, july 16, 2022: Skill development is an important step for developing employability among the youth and NTPC Korba is making continuous efforts to enhance the skill development and employability of the citizens of its neighbouring villages.
NTPC Korba recently concluded a training campaign on Assistant Machine Operator – Injection Moulding (MOA-IM) (RSC/Q4501) for skill development of the youth in collaboration with Skill & Technical Assistance Centre (CIPET Korba).
Under this programme, 40 students participated and benefitted from the training. Placement assistance was also provided to the students after the completion of this 3-month long, free of cost training.
In the closing ceremony of the training, PM Jena (Chief General Manager, NTPC Korba) said, “I am delighted to be among you all on this auspicious occasion. I hope that this training program has proven to be beneficial for all of you and with this skill development program, I am hopeful that all the students will be able to get new employment opportunities. I would also like to thank CIPET for contributing to the skill development of the students by imparting technical training to. NTPC Korba is proud of this association”.
Manoj Kumar Rajput, Centre Head, CIPET Korba said that “In this training program in partnership with NTPC Korba, 40 students were given 3 months non-residential training. In the course, they were provided hands on machine-based training on making various plastic materials, on the material used and were taught about the materials used in the industry. After the completion of the training, these students get business opportunities in various industrial set-ups of the country”.
During the program PM Jena distributed certificates to the students and congratulated them and wished them for their bright future.
Manoranjan Sarangi, (Head of HR), Bijay Kumar Swain, Deputy General Manager (HR), Manoj Kumar Rajput, Centre Head, CIPET Korba, NTPC Korba CSR team and other officers of CIPET were present in the closing ceremony.
