Spiritual values essential for building a healthy and cultured society: Chief Minister Sai

Raipur, June 14, 2026/ Spiritual values are essential for building a healthy, disciplined and culturally rooted society, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said on late Sunday evening, while stressing the need to turn de-addiction into a mass movement to protect youth from substance abuse. He said the state government is taking strict action against the illegal narcotics trade while promoting public awareness to create a drug-free society.

Shri Sai made the remarks while addressing the Satya Nijnam Satsang Conference organised by the Satya Nijnam Bodh Sansthan at Podi (Rachha) village in Janjgir-Champa district.

During the visit, he met and received blessings from Param Pujya Sadguru Satya Kabaddidas Ji and Pujniya Gurumata Satya Leela Devi Ji and planted a red sandalwood sapling in the ashram premises.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to good governance, Shri Sai said key initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, paddy procurement at Rs 3,100 per quintal and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are benefiting lakhs of people across the state.

Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Naxal-affected regions are witnessing a new era of peace and development. Improved access to roads, telecommunications, ration distribution and welfare schemes is accelerating growth in these areas. He also highlighted citizen-centric initiatives such as the CM Helpline 1076 and Atal Digital Seva Kendras, while reiterating the government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption and crime.

Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, public representatives, administrative officials and a large number of followers of the Satya Nijnam Bodh Sansthan were present on the occasion.
