Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai felicitates India U-19 women’s team vice-captain Mahak Narwase

Raipur, June 13, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday felicitated Rajnandgaon’s young cricketer Sushri Mahak Narwase and extended his best wishes on her appointment as vice-captain of both the T20 and ODI squads of the Indian Under-19 Women’s Cricket Team for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour.
Sushri Mahak Narwase paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister, who congratulated her on the achievement and honoured her with a shawl and memento.
Describing the achievement as a matter of pride for the entire state, Chief Minister said Sushri Mahak’s success reflects the growing presence of Chhattisgarh’s daughters in sports and other fields at the national level. He said her accomplishment, earned through hard work, discipline and dedication, will inspire young people across the state, especially girls.
Expressing confidence in her future performance, Shri Sai said Sushri Mahak would bring laurels to both Chhattisgarh and the country in upcoming international competitions. He encouraged the young cricketer to continue striving for greater heights in her sporting career.
Chief Minister said the state government is continuously working to promote sporting talent and provide better opportunities to athletes. He added that Sushri Mahak’s selection as vice-captain of the Indian Under-19 women’s team reflects the improving sports ecosystem in the state.
Sushri Mahak Narwase thanked Chief Minister for the honour and his warm wishes.
