Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Pays Tribute to Chhattisgarh’s First Woman MP and Social Worker Minimata on Her Death Anniversary

Raipur, August 11, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to Chhattisgarh’s first woman Member of Parliament and renowned social worker, late Minimata, on her death anniversary. Remembering her contribution to society, he said that she devoted her entire life to serving humanity and raised her voice against social evils such as child marriage and the dowry system, both in society and in Parliament.

The Chief Minister said that in recognition of outstanding contributions towards the upliftment of society and women, the State Government confers a Rajya Alankaran Puruskaar in Minimata’s name. He added that her spirit of service and inspiring personality will continue to motivate generations.
