Cartoon Art Is a Powerful Medium to Develop Creativity, Sensitivity and Positive Thinking Among Children: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur, August 6, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met Cartoon Watch Editor Shri Triambak Sharma at the Mahanadi Bhawan on August 6. On the occasion, he briefed the Chief Minister about the cartoon exhibition and training workshop organised in Bastar under the ‘Muskurata Bastar’ campaign and presented him with a souvenir based on the initiative.
Chief Minister Shri Sai appreciated the innovative initiative and said that art is an effective medium for connecting society and shaping the personality of the younger generation. He said cartoons are not merely a source of entertainment but also a powerful form of expressing ideas in a simple, accessible and impactful manner.
He said that providing children with opportunities for creative expression from an early age helps develop self-confidence, sensitivity, logical thinking and a positive outlook. He added that along with education, activities related to art, literature, sports and culture are equally important for the holistic development of children.
Shri Sai expressed hope that similar programmes would continue to be organised in different parts of the state, enabling more students to showcase their talent.
The Public Relations Department and Cartoon Watch jointly organised the ‘Muskurata Bastar’ campaign. Under the initiative, a special cartoon training workshop was conducted for nearly 100 students from government schools in Jagdalpur and other parts of the Bastar region.
During the workshop, renowned cartoonists from across the country introduced the students to different aspects of cartoon art, including drawing techniques, satire, visual communication, and creative thinking. The children were encouraged to express their imagination through illustrations and develop a positive perspective on social issues.
