IIIT Naya Raipur’s Green Initiative: Welcoming Freshers with Tree Plantation through Treewards in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign
Naya Raipur, August 24, 2024: IIIT Naya Raipur, in collaboration with Treewards Foundation, organized a tree plantation drive to welcome the new batch of students. This initiative, part of the larger ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, aims to encourage sustainability and environmental awareness among the youth.
The event was attended by the new batch of students, faculty members, and the Treewards team, who all participated enthusiastically in the plantation drive. The campaign underscores the importance of environmental conservation and aligns with the vision of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s mission, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, which emphasizes planting trees in the name of one’s mother.
