BALCO Celebrates World Health Day by Promoting Healthy Lifestyle among Employees
Korba (Balconagar ) April 7th/ 2023: Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), India’s iconic aluminium producer and a subsidiary of Vedanta Aluminium, celebrated World Health Day with a series of activities that promoted healthy lifestyle among its employees. From nutrient- rich food to physical workouts, the company advocated adoption of various health-conscious habits and created an awareness around importance of health and healthy lifestyle.
The company organized Zumba sessions at various locations across the plant for increasing awareness around importance of physical workout in daily lives. The activity had attracted a participation from more than 500 employees who rejoiced the fun-based dance choreography with a blend of cardio moves.
In addition, BALCO provided its employees with well-balanced meals that were meticulously crafted with highly nutritional foods, carefully chosen to ensure a balanced and healthy diet. These meals were available at all canteens alongside the regular meals and were accompanied by information on their calorie count, aimed at promoting health-conscious habits among the employees. Over 3000 employees gladly chose to partake in these meals during the day and expressed their appreciation for the initiative.
The company also encouraged their employees to share photos and create reels or videos showcasing their healthy lifestyle choices. The aim of this initiative was to motivate their colleagues to adopt healthier habits and promote a culture of wellness at the workplace. By participating in this activity, the employees had the opportunity to inspire and encourage each other to prioritize their health and well-being.
