Chief Minister Offers Prayers to Bhagwan Jagannath, Bhagwan Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra for the Prosperity of the People
Raipur, July 23, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the historic Rath Yatra celebrations at Amleepadar in Gariaband district on July 23 and offered prayers to Bhagwan Jagannath, Bhagwan Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra for the happiness, prosperity, peace and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh. Addressing the gathering, he described the Amleepadar Rath Yatra as a symbol of the state’s rich cultural heritage and social harmony. He said Bhagwan Jagannath inspires people to move forward together and work for public welfare. He also said the state government is committed to development and public welfare, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society.
Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana Extended Until September
The Chief Minister announced that the deadline for the Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana, earlier scheduled to end in June, has been extended by three months until September for the convenience of consumers. He appealed to people to take maximum advantage of the scheme, adding that the government is taking people-centric decisions to reduce the financial burden on citizens.
Highlighting the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Shri Sai said it is a historic initiative for women’s economic empowerment. Monthly financial assistance is being directly transferred into the bank accounts of eligible women, enabling them to become self-reliant and strengthen their families’ financial security. He said empowering women is the strongest foundation for a developed Chhattisgarh.
Government Committed to Prompt Resolution of Public Grievances
Chief Minister Shri Sai said the state government is working round the clock to ensure the prompt resolution of citizens’ grievances. He said complaints are acted upon immediately and personally reviewed by him every day. More than 42,000 complaints have been successfully resolved so far, reflecting the government’s commitment to good governance.
Bridge to Be Constructed Across Baltijor Nala
Accepting a long-pending demand of local residents, the Chief Minister announced the construction of a bridge across Baltijor Nala. He said the bridge would provide safe, year-round connectivity and improve access to education, healthcare and markets for people in the area.
Chief Minister Interacts with Schoolchildren
During the Rath Yatra, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stopped his convoy to interact with students of Saraswati Shishu Mandir. He spoke with them about their studies, future aspirations and school activities, encouraged them, and took selfies with the children at their request.
Thousands Participate in Rath Yatra
Thousands of devotees enthusiastically participated in the Rath Yatra amid religious rituals, devotional music and chants, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere throughout Amleepadar.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, Vice-Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Gau Seva Commission Shri Rajiv Lochan Maharaj, Collector Shri B.S.
