CM Shri Sai dedicates development projects worth Rs128 Crore in Arang Assembly Constituency

Announces Rs 4-Crore for developing ‘stop dam’ in Rewa village and reaffirms government’s commitment to good governance, development and public welfare

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday dedicated and performed ‘Bhoomi pujan’for various development works worth over Rs 128 crore at a programme held in Samoda Nagar Panchayat in the Arang Assembly constituency. On the occasion, he also announced several new development projects to further accelerate the region’s growth.

Chief Minister announced the construction of a stop dam in Gram Panchayat Rewa at an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore, construction of a boundary wall at Government Higher Secondary School, Samoda, construction of the first floor of the Samoda Nagar Panchayat building, and the upgradation of the Government High School at Gram Tulsi into a Higher Secondary School.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said his government has fulfilled most of the promises made under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Guarantee over the past two and a half years, reaffirming its commitment to good governance, development and public welfare.

Shri Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted key achievements, including sanctioning of Pradhan Mantri Awas for 18 lakh poor families with over 10 lakh houses completed, paddy procurement at Rs 3,100 per quintal, and transfer of more than Rs 18,000 crore to women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana through 28 instalments.

He said the government’s objective is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. With this vision, road, electricity, drinking water, healthcare and other basic infrastructure are being expanded rapidly in remote areas, including Bastar.

Shri Sai said the government is continuously working to establish an administration based on good governance, transparency and accountability. Along with taking effective action against corruption and crime, citizen services are being made simpler and more accessible.

He informed that adequate stocks of fertilisers, seeds and agricultural inputs have been ensured for farmers. More than 520 government services are now available through Sewa Setu, while complaints are being resolved in a time-bound manner through the Chief Minister Helpline 1076.

Chief Minister said cooperation, women’s empowerment and public welfare remain among the government’s top priorities. He urged citizens to take maximum advantage of government welfare schemes and announced that the Chief Minister Electricity Bill Resolution Scheme has been extended by three months. Eligible consumers can register through the Mor Bijlee mobile app or website until September to avail the benefits.

Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb said that till date development works worth over Rs 858 crore have been sanctioned for the Arang Assembly constituency under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. He added that the Chief Minister has given a new direction to development and good governance in the state.

During the programme, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai planted an Amla sapling under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ campaign, distributed bicycles to Class IX girl students under the Saraswati Cycle Scheme, and honoured meritorious students under the district administration’s Mission Utkarsh initiative.

The programme was attended by Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Leather Artisan Development Board Shri Dhruv Kumar Mirdha, Chhattisgarh Medicinal Plants Board Vice Chairman Shri Anjay Shukla, Raipur Collector Dr Gaurav Singh, public representatives, officials and a large number of citizens.
