CM Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Interacts with Meritorious Students from Rural Surguja on Educational Visit
Raipur, August 14, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday evening interacted with around 50 meritorious students from seven government schools in the Ambikapur region of Surguja district, who were in Raipur on an educational visit. The students paid a courtesy call on Shri Sai at his residence office on Wednesday evening.
In an engaging interaction, the Chief Minister learnt about the students’ experiences, interests and aspirations, and encouraged them to set ambitious goals and pursue them with dedication, discipline and hard work. He said student life is the most important period for laying a strong foundation for the future, and that the dreams nurtured during this phase, coupled with sincere effort to realise them, help determine the direction of life.
Shri Sai told the students that success is not confined to becoming a doctor or an engineer. Young people today have vast opportunities in education, science, research, sports, technology, administration, entrepreneurship and several other fields. Every student has unique talents and interests, he said, urging them to recognise their abilities, choose the right goals and pursue them with commitment. He also shared inspiring examples of talented and accomplished personalities from Chhattisgarh.
Highlighting the State’s progress in education since its formation, Shri Sai said Chhattisgarh today has several reputed national-level higher educational institutions, offering young people opportunities for quality higher and technical education. The State Government, he said, is committed to ensuring that students from rural and remote areas also receive quality education, guidance and equal opportunities to progress. Educational visits of this kind create curiosity among children and broaden the horizons of their aspirations.
Chief Minister Shri Sai appreciated the educational exposure programme organised for rural students and said that introducing children from rural areas to reputed educational institutions and making them aware of future opportunities is a commendable initiative. He wished the students a bright future and urged them to study diligently and bring pride to their parents, schools and the State.
Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, while addressing the students, said student life forms the foundation of an individual’s entire life. Just as a strong foundation is essential for a strong building, discipline, hard work and effective use of time during student life are essential for building a bright future. He urged the students to use this important phase to identify their goals, acquire knowledge and develop their personalities.
The delegation included students from Government Higher Secondary Schools at Kankalon, Bakirma, Sukhri, Rampur, Mendrakala and Karji, as well as Government Swami Atmanand Excellent School (SES) Keshavpur.
During the visit, the students toured the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), the Tribal Museum and the Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission office in Nava Raipur, besides visiting other prominent institutions and locations. They learnt about academic activities, educational opportunities and future career prospects available at these institutions.
For the students, the opportunity to see prominent institutions in Raipur and Nava Raipur at close quarters proved to be an enriching and encouraging experience, giving them a broader perspective on educational and career possibilities.
Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Chairman Shri Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, Zila Panchayat member Smt. Payal Singh Tomar, teachers and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
