Korba- Balconagar, December 28, 2021: Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO), India’s iconic aluminium producer, recently organized a workshop for its female leadership. The objective behind organizing the workshop was to upskill the female employees in line with BALCO’s best people practices approach. During the training session the participants were edified about the modus operandi of developing futuristic projects specific to their domains, and were provided with insightful inputs by the panelists to work towards increasing BALCO’s contribution in creating a sustainable future. The workshop provided an excellent platform to the participants to take up leadership roles in the organization and they were encouraged to share their disruptive and innovative ideas regarding the positive contribution of the organization in the society. Following the theme of ‘Green Growth’, growth in consistence with environment conservation, the function was organized in an eco friendly manner as it adhered to the ‘Zero use of Plastic’ policy.

Thespecial guest of the workshop was Ms. Meenakshi Bala Verma, AGM & HOD Maintenance and Planning, NTPC Korba. Sharing her views, Ms. Verma, said, “It is commendable that BALCO is taking strong steps for their female team members in order to motivate them for taking leadership roles in the organization. Our women professionals are equally empowered to contribute towards the development of the nation at large. Such workshops help in aiding the females in their journey towards being good and competent leaders.”
